Halloween Costume Ideas for 2021

Spooky season is upon us once more so it’s time to start thinking about what we’ll be dressing up as on October 31st. And after Halloween was all but cancelled last year, now’s the perfect time to go all out in an outfit that’s bang on trend.

From costumes based on this year's blockbuster movies to style inspo from your favourite celebs, we’ve got you covered with our pick of the best Halloween costume ideas for 2021.

A Squid Games Contestant

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few weeks, you’re probably familiar with Netflix’s latest binge-worthy show, Squid Game. To dress as one of the ill-fated contestants, all you need is a green tracksuit and white slip-on trainers. Finish it off with a number badge and a few smears of fake blood.

Cruella De Vil

Cruella De Vil has been a popular fancy-dress costume for decades. And now that Emma Stone has made our favorite Disney Villain cool for a new generation, you can bet there’ll be plenty of people sporting her iconic black and white do this Halloween.

And who can blame them? Cruella’s style is the ideal mix of sinister and sexy which is perfect for spooky season. For the look you’ll of course need a colour-block wig (unless you’re brave enough to dye your hair), a long black dress, a cigarette holder and gloves. Tie it all together with a faux fur coat, a statement necklace and sparkly stud earrings and you’re good to go.

Beth Harmon from the Queen’s Gambit

This is one for those of you who prefer a more discrete Halloween costume rather than a full-blown monster ensemble. First, pull out your best 1950s /1960s inspired clothes – think turtle necks and pleated full skirts or a collared black dress. Then style your hair into some retro waves and pop a chess board under your arm to complete the look.

Daphne From Bridgerton

Fans of Daphne Bridgerton will be glad to hear that it’s easier to achieve a budget friendly 19th century costume than you might think. All you need is a corset top (which luckily are having a moment right now) and long slip skirt. Alternatively, opt for a floor length, cap sleeved dress. Whichever you go for, make sure you opt for pastel colours, preferably blue, and team with a pair of sheer gloves. Finish the look with a traditional updo, choker necklace and a pair of our CZ Lever Back Hypoallergenic Earrings

Kim Kardashian at the Met Gala 2021

Recreate this meme-worthy outfit by donning a black full bodysuit that goes over your head. Next add a pair of heals and bodycon dress. Then top off the monochrome look with a black cape or train made out of black fabric. Be warned though. Unless you’ve got someone who’s willing to guide you round all night, this is a costume best warn to a house party rather than a night on the town!

Costumes not your thing?

Even if you’re not one for dressing up you can still get into the spooky spirit with our range of Halloween hypoallergenic studs. From our ghost and pumpkin pair to our spider’s web studs, each pair of these allergy free earrings are perfect for anyone with sensitive ears and fit both adult and child sized lobes.
