About Us

Many of you are very loyal customers and have been following our journey on social media and know that we are a small family run business that focuses on a quality product and excellent customer service.

For those of you who are new to our brand, Solace Jewellery was started by Dan in 2015 out of a need to buy a gift for someone with really sensitive ears, and when he realised how common the problem was and had found a solution, the business idea started forming!

Ran out of the family spare room, Dan steadily built the business alongside his accountancy career. Going from an accountancy apprenticeship to Head of Finance in the space of 4 years, Dan was always mindful that running Solace was his passion and long term-goal, however he wanted to learn how to run a business and work in larger businesses to gain experience and knowledge to ensure his own was a success.

With popularity growing, and orders flooding in, extra hands were needed! Dan's fiancee Lindsay was the obvious choice to help out with the customer service (and modelling), and our first employee Anneka was employed to package the orders and provide knowledge and support from her retail background.

Since then Solace Jewellery has gone from strength to strength, and from the spare room to a dedicated packing office. Finally Dan was able to give up his full-time role to run the business, which as an online retailer gives great flexibility and a needed lifestyle change just in time for his and Lindsay's first child, Henry.

We are dedicated to growing the business and have been part of the Natwest accelerator programme in Milton Keynes, which provides a fantastic entrepreneurial atmosphere and community. But what also is really important to us, is a great work/ life balance and enjoying all aspects of our work and time off together.

As a small business, we feel we are much closer to our customers than most big brands, and it allows us to make our customer service really personal, and we want you to feel special each time you deal with us.

We have certainly come a long way since 2015, with a better product range, prettier and more sustainable packaging, and a stronger team. The hope for us, is to help everyone who struggles with wearing jewellery without feeling pain or irritation, and provide as many smiles as possible while doing so.
