Think of stacked rings as jewellery’s answer to the pick and mix. It’s a trend that allows you to wear a whole bunch of your favourite pieces together to create a look that’s both chic and understatedly cool.

As the name suggests, stacking rings involves curating a look on one or more fingers using multiple rings on top of each other. This might be all gold stacked rings or all silver stacked rings or a combination of them both. The beauty is that you have the freedom to use different shapes, sizes and colours to create an endless number of bold combos. But where should you start first?

Despite what you might think, you can completely nail ring stacking without breaking the bank. That’s because there are only four different styles that you’ll need to give yourself limitless stacking options: statement rings, delicate rings, stacking rings and midi rings. 5 Tips For Ring Stacking

Tip 1: Less Is More

Stacking multiple rings on every finger probably isn’t going to give you that fashion blogger style you’re looking for. It’s likely to look a little messy and you’ll find it’s pretty impractical (especially if you need to use a keyboard!).

Instead, we recommend choosing one or two statement fingers and building your look around those. One of our favourite curated looks is to stack two or three rings on the same finger and then compliment it with one single ring on either side. Keeping at least one finger bare is also a good way to ensure that the details of each ring remain the key focus.

Tip 2: Mix Your Metals

Once you’ve had some fun getting all your favourite gold rings stacked, it’s time to get even more adventurous. It might have once been considered a fashion no-no to mix your metals but nowadays we’re all about blending silvers and golds to create a look that says you do things your way. This tip works particularly well with minimal bands where the finish is what draws the eye.

Try and achieve some balance by dispersing the colours evenly across your fingers rather than bunching them altogether.
